Why I Built HuntPass
I didn’t grow up hunting. I came to it later in life through the Texas Wildlife Association’s Adult Learn to Hunt program. That experience reshaped how I think about conservation, mentorship, and private land stewardship.
As I became more involved — volunteering, mentoring, and guiding first-time hunters — I noticed something important. In structured programs, landowners open their property because liability protection is already in place. Outside those programs, many want to say yes… but the risk feels too high.
Meanwhile, participation continues to decline. Access shrinks. When land closes, mentorship fades, conservation funding drops, and traditions weaken.
HuntPass was built to solve that specific problem. Not just to sell insurance — but to provide the infrastructure that makes access possible. Simple, affordable liability coverage that reduces fear, increases trust, and keeps private land open.
Because protecting hunting doesn’t start in the field. It starts at the gate.
